AR/85AL Containment barrier for harbors and docks. AR/85AL is a special type of barrier specially designed for protection from pollution of stretches of coastline, docks and harbors and industrial areas at sea. The reef, thanks to an optimal ratio of weight to buoyancy, is able to adapt perfectly to wave motion allowing, even in adverse conditions, a good containment capacity.
The artifact was designed to avoid handholds and obstacles to any accumulation of waste, so the push and ballast system was placed on one side only, so that the opposite side would ensure easy flow of pollutants. The barrier fabric is made of sturdy PVC coated polyester type PolyPanama (with minimum tensile strength of 7500 N/5 cm).
In order to make the barrier comply with IMO international standards, the same will be made with galvanized stainless steel ballasts and will be equipped with a perforated connection plate made of INOX 316 steel and fitted with relevant wing nuts and screws, alternatively, again for compliance with IMO international standards, the barriers may be equipped with ASTM “Z” connectors made of “marinized” aluminum.
